The guy identifies himself as a idiot.  His lack of knowledge of railroading confirms his assessment of himself.

If you watch some of his other videos you'll find that this guy is actually quite a good mechanic, with a great 'Minnesota nice' sense of humour.  

He's just not a railfan or railroader, and many things about locomotives are not obvious to a bystander.

I'm surprised his guide didn't tell him that GM/EMD locomotive engines are 2-strokes.
