I hope they don't strike themselves out of a job, it can happen.  It's happened before in other industries.

It happened to EMD's staff in Ontario...though Caterpillar is a well known union buster and I have no doubt they intended for that to happen. I don't think Wabtec can afford to lose Erie. Though no sure they need Texas, Erie and Boise
