STBX In Plaster City
Posted by RailEagle on Sunday, May 20, 2018 4:06 PM

About two weeks ago I was driving into San Diego and about two hours out in Plaster City I saw three Ex-Idaho Northern and Pacific Locomotive GP40s. Those three locomotives had the Reporting Mark: STBX hand spray painted on the side. I am inrested in any info about ownership,  condition, status of the owner, and usage. Thank you in advance.

Leased to lawsuit strangled Pacific Imperial RR (SDAE successor)...hasn't turned a wheel in forever.

STBX=Sterling Bomba LLC (Lease fleet of about a dozen locomotives, mixed types) out of Austin TX

Mudchicken Nothing is worth taking the risk of losing a life over. Come home tonight in the same condition that you left home this morning in. Safety begins with ME.... cinscocom-west
