I have been a railfan for a while living in south Florida until 3 weeks ago. (moved to Lakeland)
In my travels I would take a trip to my grandfathers by way of Highway 60. Just west of 37 on Highway 60, is a train yard. Usually you would find a CSX engine with no problem at any time of the day.
Recently though I have been seeing the SD-40s from FEC on this track, knowing FEC doesnt run on these tracks. There are both the gold/grey and red/yellow schemes. These do not have "patches" on them. Were they sold to CSX? If so why?
Also I spotted a trio of UP and KSC on the same track last weekend, switching into the yard.
FEC recieved enough ES44C4s to displace their SD40-2 road fleet. These locomotives have been leased to CSX.
