How can I post a locomotive picture here?

You have to do something to make the photograph accessible to the Internet.  The easiest way, I believe, to do that is to put it up on one of the 'free' photo sites -- or I think as a Facebook post (I don't 'do' Facebook, but someone who does will know).

Then go on the 'Net to the picture, right-click it, and select 'Copy image location' (or whatever option you have on your system that corresponds to that.'  In the bottom toolbar above the post window, you will see a button with a little icon that looks like a rectangle with a mountain in it -- this starts the image insertion tool.  Select this and paste the copied image location into the tool.  You may see only a gray rectangle in the post window -- it should appear when you actually submit the post.

Sometimes this site doesn't link images properly.  If so, copy the image location as above, but select the icon that looks like a little chain (the link insertion tool) and enter the image location there.  That should provide a live (clickable) link to the picture. 

If all the fanciness fails to work, just paste the image location into a line in your post and we'll cut and paste it into the browser address line...
