It was reported that these locomotives are to be scrapped next week, and I was wondering if there is any confirmation about them, as last I heard, they were going to be kept in storage for sentimental purposes by Montana Rail Link.
Yes, unfortunately, it's true. Montana Rail Link 390 and 392 will be scrapped within the next few weeks.

Update: No. 392 is under the knife as we speak, but No. 390 has been saved. An unknown (at this time) buyer acquired the locomotive at the last minute.
Thanks for the update with the good news. Would've been a shame to see the freight version of this line only exist with a single example which is an empty shell for camping. Weren't more than 3 or 4 other examples extant after these pair, so one is being saved just in the nick of time.
Great to hear! Thanks for the update.
I was looking to see if there were updates on the 390. There are pics online of it in wa state. Could be at Western rail!? Also looking at sat image of ltex there are still 2 WC f45 there.
The Susquehanna scrapped their last F45 back in September. Unfortunately that's the problem with big expensive pieces of equipment, if they can't earn their keep anymore they don't stay around too long unless an "angel" steps in and saves them. Too bad, that Suzie-Q F45 with its dramatic black n' yellow paint scheme was a dramatic looking machine.
