OFF LINE SIGHTINGS OF NORFOLK SOUTHERN HERITAGE LOCOMOTIVES

ALL:

I thought it best to clarify my two earlier posts about NS hertiage locomotives.

I am a retired NP-BN-BNSF Yard Clerk from Minneapolis and now drive a school bus.

About three weeks ago, I saw two (Central of Georgia and Interstate RR) heritage locomotives in separate eastbound NS oil trains on the BNSF in Ramsey, MN. This is on the Twin Cities Division, Staples Subdivision.

Happily watching trains for 38 years and I got paid for it.

A couple weeks ago a saw a NYC and Penn central heritage units with a regular black NS sitting between becker mn and clear lake mn waiting to get on the single main at becker.  I thought how cool I've heard of the heritage units but am no where near NS tracks and thought I'd never see one.  They must be just rolling their power units all the way to North dakota for oil.  I've also noticed alot of NS and CSX power on the CP rolling through Medina where I build MOW eqiup pulling oil trains and center flow hoppers.
