Does anyone know what kind of locomotive this is and what railroad its from? i ran across this in google earth as you can see, and i thought it was pretty strange.

That's what I was thinking.  I've seen a couple of Ferromex SD70ACes on several freights.  Add in the fact that UP owns about 40% of Ferromex and that makes it pretty darn conclusive.

And I just realized that's some form of an GE Evolution unit.  I'd guess ES44AC but I don'y know what Ferromex exactly ordered.

Ferromex has both AC4400CWs and ES44ACs. To me it looks like a ES44AC.
