Most of us are familiar with the big GE Turbines built for the UPRR, not many are aware of the existence of one of these Critters that was turbine powered, with Two turbines.

While looking for something else, I found the above linked photo of a Davenport-Besler Locomotive Co Industrial Engine built for the US Army in 1954.
The engine had TWO Turbines. The Turbines were built by a division of Boeing (Aircraft) Corp. They were actually Boeing(502-2E) turbo-shaft, gas turbines and housed in an end cab 44 tom style Industrial Locomotive.
Army #1149 is at the National Railroad Museum in St. Louis.
It was also modeled by Lionel Trains ( Lionel#41 Switcher) mfg 1955/58.

Apparently, I was asleep when I put that comment in.....Mea culpa.
It is, I think, still at the Nat'l Museum in St. Louis.
