Over the past few months, the Indiana Railroad has been running SD9043MACs on Canadian Pacific Freight trains between Chicago and st. Paul. These locomotives have mainly been working on a Coke train between the two cities, as well as being on Evening Intermodal 183, one of the only freights to access the C&M sub via A5. Is the INRD testing their macs for the future, because I also remember in a past issue of Trains that the chairman of the regional said he's like to tap into the intermodal market.

No, it is just CP making use of the locomotives for which they are paying rental rather than having them sit around while Flint Hills fills the hoppers with Pet Coke.
