Caught a pair of new SD70ACe's while on the hill yesterday. First up was the UP 8680 west (MWCRV 21) which had an all EMD consist. I first met up with the MWCRV near Tehachapi and followed it down the hill to Caliente. Later in the day UP sent the 8679 up on the ILBOA. Nothing like new units, both looked very sharp.
Pic 1) The trio of EMDs in full dynamics as they drop passed MP 336 and into Caliente. The train is still emerging from tunnel 1, at the top of the Caliente horseshoe~

Ryan uses a Canon 50D and normally the 28-128mm Canon Lens. I use the same combination for many of my pictures. His pictures are very good.

Very nice and a great looking Ace with the new cab antenna boxes. This is the new and latest set up for all Ace and GE's. I am not sure of what improvements, but I read there are various types of communication antenna devices in those two containers on the cab roof.
Thanks for posting. It is a great picture.
Thanks for all the comments. Those ISO cab SD70ACe's look sharp, especially when they are clean.
CZ is correct I do use a Canon 50D but for these pictures I used my Canon 17-85mm lens. Both the 28-135 and 17-85 lens are great lenes from Canon.
The new Antenna box is used on PTC equipped locomotives from the manufacturers. So many antennas now.
