Can anyone help tell me what this locomotive is?  All I know about it for sure is that it is a GE.  Located at the Tennessee Central Ry museum in Nashville.

Thanks! Acela026

The timbers beneath the rails are not the only ties that bind on the railroad.

Shows up as a U36B and from the Trucks and Brake Piping I would have to say old SCL vintage one.

Always at war with those that think OTR trucking is EASY.

Seconded, U36B.  The Blomberg trucks are a dead giveaway.

With the full sized flared radiators, 8 access doors, and those trucks there is only one thing it can be. U36B all the way. Interesting paint scheme though.

It is indeed a filthy stinking U-Boat. Thank goodness its in a museum where it belongs and not out on the mainline. Nice paint job though.
