Hello

Does any CB&Q SD40 locomotive wear the "Everywhere West" paint scheme?

Not a CB&Q expert, but I HIGHLY doubt it.  I think the Chinese Red scheme was already the standard by the time the GP-20's and U-25's were acquired, at least 5 years before the SD-40 hit the market.

If I'm wrong, then good luck in your search.

It looks like the SD-40s were painted in the "Chinese Red" paint scheme when delivered.  Follow this link:

The SD40's were delivered in the Chinese red scheme. Have slides of a couple of the units when they were brand new being delivered to the CB&Q.

At the risk of splitting hairs, CB&Q proper did not have any SD40's.  The only SD40's on the system were C&S 875-887, which were delivered in Chinese Red, as shown above.

The daily commute is part of everyday life but I get two rides a day out of it. Paul
