Metra F40 rebuilds back in service?
Posted by eolafan on Saturday, August 15, 2009 11:09 AM

I've been hearing about a bunch of older Metra F40 units being rebuilt this year and possibly coming back in the newer Metra paint scheme. Has anybody heard any new information or news about their return? Thanks

Watch for #215-216. A pair of ex-Amtrak & TCry museum F40 units sent to Paducah for rebuilding.

The rebuilt units are coming back in a fresh coat of the same blue and red that they already wore. #100 is currently enroute back to Metra at this time and one other unit was already delivered.
