greetings fellow railfan.the best book on current diesel/electric locomotives is locomotives the modern diesel&electric reference by greg mcdonnell.it is the aurthors bestselling field guide to modern diesel locomotives published by the great folks who bring us trains magazine kalmback.i have a copy of locomotives the modern diesel&electric reference and it is a great book.it is hard bound and costs$49.95 i highly recommend it.it can be bought at your local hobby shop or from firefly books or boston mill press.please visit www.bostonmillpress.com
