BNSF GP30 2828 in new paint
Posted by Lyon_Wonder on Thursday, May 8, 2008 12:41 AM

BNSF 2828, a former CB&Q and BN GP30 that was rebuilt in the late 80s into a GP39M, has been repainted into BNSF's wedge scheme.  This is the first "pure" GP30-style engine to be repainted into this scheme.   Another former GP30, BNSF 2754, was repainted previously, but lacks the GP30-style cab since it was rebuilt from a former southern high hood unit.

Tongue [:P]  I have just fallen in love with that unit - as my favorite paint scheme is "swoosh" and my favorite diesel is the GP30.  WOW!
