Every time I am near NS rails I see one on a train.[/quote] That is incorrect. The 9 former Conrail C39-8's that CSX aquired in the splitup of Conrail were never sold to NS. When the lease expired on the units, CSX chose not to renew it and the units were stored pending disposition. The units were subsequently purchased by National Railway Equipment who in turn leased the 9 units to Savage Alberta Railway. Now that CN has reaquired Savage they have retired most of the C39-8's with a couple still in service that will be retired shortly.  Bryan Jones [/quote]oops!
