My dad told me that the Iowa Interstate had sold it's two QJs.  Is this true?

They are still stored in Newton last I heard, and as for as I know they haven't been sold. I heard a rumor some time ago Iowa was going to keep one of them for company excursions and sell the other one. Whether this rumor is true or not remains to be seen since they haven't moved for a long time. The good news is it sounds like they are now stored indoors.

Custom built two steam engines some time ago in China for export and use in Iowa.

Thank you.  I was hoping my dad was wrong.  I was planning on going up to Iowa sometime in the next like three years or so and seeing them, so I hope Iowa Interstate keeps them.  Good to hear they haven't been sold yet.

Are you talking about those China engines from a few years back?
The ones that if the 261 could, it would turn those two flat?
I mean 261 ran with 1 or 2 of them.

I have never seen them in the Joliet Illinois area.  Be great if they would run one all the way to Blue Island on a freight sometime.

I'd pay to see that!
