Your friendly neighborhood CNW fan.

I'm guessing this took place @ Hutchinson,KS. UP trackage rights on BNSF starts & ends in Hutch. The 3838 is a GP7 slug that is the former SF 1329. From 1983-1985 the unit worked at Sand Creek yd in Newton then moved to North Wichita where it worked there until 2003 or 2004 then it became the regular switcher @ Way yd in Hutch. I had trouble downloading the video but probably wasn't much look at anyway.

your answer is in the comments under the video, restricted speed, ie stop in half the length of your sight of vision, so i doubt that there is a fault there.

Yep was posted on here several months ago nobody at fault this stuff happens about every day some where. most crews no they will meet others at some point on thier territory performing work. its called running on guts, stopping in half the range of vision or in reality stopping before hitting the other train, just what in the world would you report? this is part of the job nothing happened , the other night i was out on a differant railroad doing a interchange and i ran up on thier switch engine dowing work because i was earlier than normal i caught them, we both knew of each others preasants and when they told us what they was doing we waited our turn then followed them on down the track and made our set out, then back to my railroad.
