Southern Railways SD35s at Alexandria
Posted by Erie Lackawanna on Tuesday, December 18, 2007 12:19 AM

Here is one of my Dad's pictures of a northbound Southern Railway freight at Alexandria VA. This was the last nb just before the 2-10-4 went south on August 27, 1977.  Anyone still have their notes from that day and know what train this was?

I don't know what train it is, but it's a great classic picture.

Thanks much.  My dad had some good shoots that he took.  Unfortunatley, he didn't get a good camera until about 1975, so everything prior to that has that fuzzy look of 1950s Brownie shots.
