What is a good, updated UP locomotive roster?
Posted by omahadivision on Wednesday, November 21, 2007 4:12 PM

Hello!

I am looking for a good, up-to-date Union Pacific locomotive roster, with room to write in the locations, dates, etc. of the times I spotted certain locomotives in the margins.  I've been using "Union Pacific Locomotive directory" by Paul K. Withers, but it's horribly out of date and there never seems to be a new edition.

 Any suggestions?

It's not hard copy, but over at UtahRails.net there is a pretty comprehensive roster that's pretty up-to-date.

I love the smell of ALCo smoke in the Morning. "Long live the 251!!!" I miss the GBW and my favorite uncle is Uncle Pete. Uncle Pete eats Space Noodles for breakfast.

Have you gone to  www.UP.com   ?

Click on "General Public",  under "Fun Facts" click on "Locomotive Roster".

It is up to date as of Jan. 1 2007.  You can download it as an Adobe PDF file.
