The High Iron Company was an outfit founded and headed up by Ross Rowland, specifically for running steam excursions.  The 1968 excursion locomotive was former Nickle Plate Berkshire 759, borrowed from the Steamtown Collection and restored for operation.  'Ol Ross figured there was a ready market for steam excursions in the steam-starved Northeast back in those days, and he was right.

I don't have any first-hand knowledge of the trips, so I'll have to hit the books and get back to you on this.

Here 'ya go, check these out.

Not specifically connected with the 1968 trip, but it should give you an idea.
