MD government - penny wise, dollar foolish!
Never too old to have a happy childhood!
It is a shame this, the WM seems to have done its part,
I wonder what the cost will be to the locality in lost tourism, probably way more than the $400,000?
Just because they won't get the 1309 completed on schedule doesn't mean the WMSR is shut down. They will still be running their normal schedule of excursions with diesel power. Not the attraction of the 1309 or the 734 but enjoyable trips never the less.
Has the wmsr put up their matching funds for the grant or not? Not really clear in the article.
The opinions expressed here represent my own and not those of my employer, any other railroad, company, or person.
I just hope it doesn't affect the rail road as a whole. That the don't become over extended. These large projects are never easy. I wish them the Best.
