I am hearing that it was do a special run  to commerate The Wabash Cannonball on October 25th-26th,2013 between Fort Wayne & Lafayette.Have no idea what happens when they get to Lafayette because Norfolk Southern has 2 tracks while CSX has got one in the triple tracks thru Lafayette.Amtrak does have a non staffed station are on CSX tracks and am wondering if that is where the NPK 765 will wind up stopping there.

On the Fort Wayne Railroad Historical Society website there is a brief description of the Wabash Cannonball outing.  As you will note, the special will be "parked" in the NS yard and the passengers bussed to the downtown area.  I have copied a portion of it below:

BOARDING TIME                     8:00AM
DEPART FORT WAYNE         8:30AM
ARRIVE LAFAYETTE             12:00PM
DEPART LAFAYETTE             2:30PM
ARRIVE FORT WAYNE           6:00PM

On October 26th and 27th, restored steam locomotive no. 765 will operate a round-trip excursion each day between Fort Wayne and Lafayette, Indiana, retracing the route of the famous Wabash Cannonball passenger train. Sponsored by the railroad historical society in cooperation with Norfolk Southern Corp, the excursion will feature several coach class seating options aboard vintage passenger cars for the 230 mile trip.

Passengers will enjoy a day long trip behind steam locomotive no. 765, lunch and layover in downtown Lafayette along the Wabash River, on-board entertainment, and more. The train will be turned east before departure from Lafayette and arrive in Fort Wayne each evening. A list of restaurants and vendors with special discounts and offers for passengers will be made available.

Passengers will be bussed from the train to downtown from the railroad yard as passengers cannot alight at the Lafayette Amtrak station. Trains will run rain or shine.

Norfolk Southern has  yard off of Route 52 just south of Duncan Road.So I have an idea of what the 765 will be parked then.I will have to catch it between Buck Creek & Lafayette like  i did a year ago September when itcame thru here on its way to Decatur.Do not believe Amtrak has any trains thru here on Saturday afternoons

While there is a wye near the yard for the new riverside mainline, it could also go down to the wye with the Frankfort District on the South side of town to turn the consist.
