UP 844 in Ft Worth next week
Posted by SBlanck-UP on Friday, April 2, 2010 12:55 PM

Greetings

UP's 844 will be in Ft Worth next Friday evenign and Saturday morning. Anyone know of the best vantage points to take a youngster or two to see it leave out of town in the morning.  At least a vantage point that makes the yard police happy!

Thanks

You will find a good spot for your pictures.  The Union Pacific normally allows for pictures around the 844 as long as you follow safety rules.

The 844 left Cheyenne today with snow on the ground.  Pictures on TO under steam railroading.

How do you find out its route so you can see it somewhere along the way ? I'm going to be in East Texas this weekend.

Union Pacific's web site contains a link to a real time tracker for the consist.  For example, this morning around 7am it is parked in Parsons, KS.
