C&O Caboose

Last weekend I was in Augusta, KY and was pleased to see an old C&O wooden caboose.  It is actually been fairly well preserved and refubished.  The C&O on the caboose is hand painted and not quite right but the car is otherwise in great shape.  I sits on a corner overlooking the Ohio River and serves as a visitors center that is open to the public.  It still has much of the original outfitting that it used while in service.  If you ever get close to Maysville head over to Augusta and check it out.  I highly recommend it.  Also, a terrific view of the river and it traffic too.Cool [8D]

I haven't seen the one in Augusta you are refering to. I have seen C&O cabeese in Paintsville, Prestonsburg, there are two in Martin, Beattyville, and Slade. All in Kentucky and I am sure there are more.
