Getting money to your favorite Railway Museum..

Hey so I was online today and read up on the Amazon Smile program.    You can designate your favorite charity and a small portion of your purchases will be donated to your favorite charity.    Well I found out on their list of charities the Illinois Railway Museum was listed so I selected that.    So now a small portion of my future total purchases will go to the Illinois Railway Museum as a donation.    I think it is a good program but you have to purchase from the www.amazonsmile.com website it says.    Not sure why the seperate website and I really did not read into the program or do price compares to see if I was paying more for what I was purchasing as I don't make a lot of purchases from Amazon.

Thought I would bring to everyones attention because these type of affiliate programs are a painless way to get some of you to donate money to some of these museums that maybe financially hurting during this time of everyone being a shut-in.

Just an update, so Illinois Railway Museum got $3020 in donations from Amazon Smile just for the month of February 2020 according to Amazon.   So we need to get more folks to sign up for this worthwhile program.

FYI, pricing is the same as the regular Amazon website per the programs FAQ page.
