2926 group finishes Form 4

I haven't seen any mention of this here, and it seems to me to be an important milestone in the group's restoration of 2926.

The group had a commemorative celebration to mark the event, but so far I haven't seen any video, pictures or discussion on their Web site, and I don't do Faceplant.

Probably one of the group's teenage son or daughter has to update the webpage and hasn't gotten around to it yet.

I don't do the Faceplant (good one!) either.

Finishing Form Four's good news at any rate.

Under "Work status": http://nmslrhs.org/Status/status.php it says:

"
Work Session Status Week Ending 10/07/2017

New small bore piping is being bent and installed for the stack lifter and sander check valves. These pipes were under the jacketing and had wasted away.

Two MU jumper boxes were installed along with the MU cable which was threaded down through its conduit.

Work on the fuel line began Saturday with a full port ball valve installed in the pipe.

The steam line to the oil bunker was cleaned, insulated and a layer of protective coating put on.

Various jacketing pieces were removed for the painter to pick up.

We're still having problems with the main turret valve bonnet leaking. We will be checking the flange for warping.

Another milestone was reached as our crew gathered around to witness the signing of the Form 4 which will be forwarded to the FRA. Many hours were spent by Frank G. and Larry L. performing all the calculations required and compiling all the documents relating to our work over the past 15 years. Also many thanks go out to our advisor Pat B. who has also donated many hours of welding reviews and expertise.

The General Membership meeting will be held this Saturday at 7:30 AM followed by a New Member orientation at 9:00 AM.

Hope to see everyone at the site this week. The weather is certainly changing and Fall is in the air along with the balloons, and as always . . .

Keep on Steamin',
