Probably part of the learning curve, man.  There's probably more forgotten about running steam than there is known about it now.

Yes I know what you mean. It was a shocker thats for certain. Of all the locomotives the K4, which had been talked about and anticipated for decades really. I understand the situation today is not looking too good either.
