I want to start this discussion to find out what has happened to and where are they now?
The Mark Twaine Zeyphr? I had last sceen and hear of it, it was privately owned and parked on private property in Kansas City, Ks area. That was back in the 1970's.

FTA:"...In June of 1962, the train was acquired by Ernie Hays for $6,500 and placed on exhibit at the Midwest Old Thresher Association grounds in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa. In 1972, after many years of neglect, the train was sold to Alex Barkett of the Building Leasing Corporation, and moved to Kansas City. The other articulated Zephyr equipment also bought by BLC was later sold to Saudi Arabia, but the Mark Twain remained stored in KC and continued to deteriorate. After Mr. Barkett died, title transferred to the Civic Plaza National Bank and in September of 1987 the train was moved to the Mid America Car Corporation. In 1984, Dave Stimson a player for the Kansas City Chiefs purchased the equipment. After declaring bankruptcy late in 1987, the train was sold to John C. Lowe. He and two other individuals have formed the Mark Twain Corporation, which is headed by Mr. Ronald Lorenzini. This group has started the monumental task of trying to restore the train, but have run into challenges along the way. The train is currently stored in the Joliet area awaiting additional investors to help fund its completion.."
Nebraska Zephyr is at the Illinois Railway Museum and is operable. Originally it was one of the Twin City Zephyr sets (Train of the Goddesses), built 1936. Originally it had one of the distinctive shovel-nose engines.

The Mark Twain Zeyphr is no longer in Joliet it is at Gateway Rail Services in Madison Il where it has been for several years.

Ahhh, you beat me to it. Trainset best viewed by Google Maps (just looked)
1980 3rd Street, Madison, IL..........you can spot the 5 cars right out in back (well about 100 yards in back) of the main Gateway Building by the distinctive roofline of the power car. On track 1 of the former NKP yard.
I thought the entire trainset was up for sale on the rail merchants website as well but I could be mistaken there.
The Gateway site lists 9 former CB&Q stainless steel cars for sale, none of them from the Mark Twain.
Rail Merchants in Fairfield, IA lists the Mark Twain for sale, but I don't see the equipment there on Google Earth.

Thanks! Very distinct! Maybe the Fairfield oufit owns but stores in Madison to save a moving charge.
Another 'Zyphyr' I have seen was at the St. Louis Museum of Transportation..AAS I recall it was just the locomotive portion. I think it pulled conventiona cars, rather than an articulated train set. It was the GeneraL PERSHING,but the name plate carries another name: 'Silver Charger' and here is a link to a site with information and photo @ http://www.classicstreamliners.com/npt-general-pershing-zephyr.html.
Then there is the Pioneer Zephyr at the Museum of Science+Industry in Chicago.
Used to go there when I was staying in Chicago.
Are there any more Budd Zephyr-style trains around ?
Although technically not a Burlington Zephyr, the Boston & Maine Flying Yankee (identical to the CB&Q Zephyrs) has been undergoing restoration for many years in New Hampshire. http://www.flyingyankee.com/
