Jupiter Florida FEC freight depot restoration - update, photos ,looking for memorabilia

The Jupiter Florida FEC freight depot is now fully painted, and crews are preparing to add walkways / platforms as I write this.  You can see pictures of the progress here:

We are looking for memorabilia, including railroad artifacts, orange (and other produce) crates, and other itesm to make a small display within the structure.  If you have items that you would like to donate for preservation and display at the depot, please post back or contact me at gilbert.jon @ comcast.net  Thank you!

There is a small celebration planned for Saturday August 1st, commemorating the 100th anniversary of its original opening.  It's amazing to see how good everything looks, given that it was slated for demolition just three years ago.

I don't have anything to offer in the way of memorabilia but I would recommend that you try to get a copy of H.A. Stimson's first person account of working as a station agent for the FEC.

The book is titled "Depot Days".  It is written in a conversational style and the author does an excellent job of giving the reader a sense the life of a station agent.
