Gorgeous photographs, thank you so much. I like the truck dashboard also. A Chevrolet, I think. Ever think of publishing a book?
THANKS!!!!

Stunning, just stunning! Like a time machine! And the atmosphere, you can't beat it!
Oh, there's history and mystery in that roundhouse. Look at the photos and you can FEEL it.
Wow! Everything the Denver & Rio Grande Western could be and was destroyed! Now it just needs to become an operational historic railroad with some main line track.
Doc
Not true. If you can get pemission to tour the Chama engine shed and the Durango roundhouse, you won't be dissapointed.
I'll be surprised if the EBT ever runs again. I'm afraid it will just rust into oblivion.
It's been fun. But it isn't much fun anymore. Signing off for now.
The opinions expressed here represent my own and not those of my employer, any other railroad, company, or person.t fun any
Thr news item concerning the man who left considerable money in trust to promote vintage passenger railroad service shows there is money to rehabilitate the East Broad Top. It seems a natural for the EBT Friends to apply for a grant.
One more reason I wish I won the lottery. I'd hand over a few mill if they let me drive a locomotive at least once.
You and me both brother! If I hit a big lottery I'd be MORE than happy to be the EBT's "angel."
So what is going on with the 0-6-0 they have. Don't,t they have dual guage track?
54light15 One more reason I wish I won the lottery. I'd hand over a few mill if they let me drive a locomotive at least once.
And that reminds me, why is it stalwart deserving individuals like us who know JUST what to do with all those millions NEVER win any lotterys?
It's just not fair!
Last I heard, standard gauge 0-6-0 no. 3 was still in the enginehouse in Mt. Union, approximately 11 miles north of the roundhouse and shops in Orbisonia, where the narrow gauge equipment is kept. Standard gauge 0-6-0 no. 6 is still owned by the Whitewater Valley RR in Indiana, of course. As far as I know, everything is in a state of suspended animation.

P.S. Right, Firelock! I'm gonna write a letter of complaint. That ought to do it!
