This year will be the first in 21 years since steam has ever roamed through Detroit, NKP 765 will be in the area doing employee Specials July 5th-6th Detroit-Toledo July 12th and 13th The Detroit Arrow to Fort Wayne Three Rivers Festival, boarding at Allen Park departing by 8am and arrving in Fort Wayne by noon, departing Fort Wayne back to Detroit by 4pm
Do you know if the train will run under the concrete arches left over from Fords railroad. I saw these arches while working in Allen Park.
It wont, from what I saw the address to where the boarding site is at is right outside Oakwood Yard, and the trip will stop at what is know as "The Elevation" in Fort Wayne
FWIW it did not. It ran near it and could be seen from the train but the NS tracks to Ft. Wayne go E-Wish and H. Ford's arched tracks run N-S ish.
