Big Narrow Gauge Sale in Colorado?
Posted by lone geep on Wednesday, December 4, 2013 4:21 PM

I've seen on Newswire that there is a large narrow gauge equipment sale out in Golden Colo. Since I am not a subscriber to Trains, could someone fill me in on what is happening? I sure hope it isn't the train museum there.

No, it's a private collection most of which is stored at the museum.  Check under the "Railroad New" header, then "Newswire."  I think that pretty much says it all.

Thanks for your reply!  What Lone Geep is saying is that he (and me also) cannot read the story about the narrow-gauge sale, since neither of us are Subscribers to the Trains magazine.  We cannot get to the article in question.

I actually asked Kalmbach about this some time ago.  I have been a subscriber to Model Railroader since 1985.  I subscribed to the Classic Trains magazine from the first issue.  Also the Great Model Railroads, and Model Railroad Planning.  So surely I should be entitled to see the NewsWire?  But no, they were totally unsympathetic.

As a result, I am winding down my subscriptions, and getting my "train fix" elsewhere!
