What do you propose to use for money?  Next question, why?

The daily commute is part of everyday life but I get two rides a day out of it. Paul

I'd like to see this. Especially since the only running CB&Q engine doesn't look anything like it used too.

I would love to see a 05A or 05B run again or a Hudson there are a few 05A around on display but the Oil burners are all cut up as far as I can gather. I guess my chasing days are over or very limited to say the least.

The 2 in Wyoming (5631 & 5633) are coal fired. The one in Colorado (5629) and the one in Missouri (5614) are oil fired. The ones in Wyoming are more likely to be restored before the other 2. The one is Missouri is too far from the tracks and the one at Colorado supposedly would need a completely new boiler.

I totally forgot about 5629 and did know that 5614 was a covert to Oil also .I've got photo of 5633 in service and at Douglas at the fair grounds and at the new location . I got a Cab ride in 5632 from Mendota to Galesburg and it became my favorite engine after that wild ride. it is something I will never forget. WOW  Chutes 5632

Unfortunately I am way to young to ever see or ride behind any of the CB&Q excursions. (Too young to even see Chinese Red locomotives)

I am amazed that there are as many restored operating steam locomotives as there are.  I wonder where all of that money and volunteer labor comes from.
