You grab you cup of java, a few donuts and you stake out your spot
early in the morning, before the sun even rises getting ready to catch
the early morning parade of heavy freight manifest trains out of the
yard and onto the main. In this case, just another day in Indiana, or
perhaps Ohio, and the first train out the gate is a double header led
by NKP #765 with PM #1225 along to assist.
Were efforts successful in merging the C&O, NKP, Erie and the Pere
Marquette? Or was the PM Berk on loan to the NKP?
In actuality, this was a scene recreated by the Steam Railroading
Institute (PM #1225 group), the Fort Wayne Railroad Historical
Society, Great Lakes Central (current line owner) and Pete Lerro
of Lerro Productions during a truly spectacular photo charter held
in Owosso, MI during the last weekend in August, 2009.
Enjoy!
