Kennesaw, Georgia Museum...
Posted by JamesP on Thursday, August 27, 2009 12:47 PM

I just got back from a trip to Atlanta, Georgia and stopped at the Southern Museum of Civil War and Locomotive History in Kennesaw.  I stopped by to see the General in person, but was pleasantly surprised at the Glover Locomotive display.  There are two small Glover locomotives, some of the machine shop equipment and a lot of the original wooden patterns on display, along with a bunch of pictures.  It is a really a first-class museum.  It is well worth your time to stop by if you are in the area, not only to see the General but also to see such a complete history of a relatively obscure steam locomotive manufacturer.

Thanks for the review. I've been wanting to get over there and this gives me a little extra push in that direction.
