Just a quick note to express our appreciation for all of the hard work by the organizers and volunteers of last week's Train Festival. A fabulous event and for the most part even the weather gods cooperated! We travelled just over 200 miles from Canada and the only sad part was how quickly the festival days went by.

P.S. Does anyone know the prognosis for 1225? How long to repair?
When I was there I was told about 2 weeks to get her back into working order .

I read that a major inspection was due and there were no funds to complete. Hope I heard wrong.
According to an e-mail from the Steam Institute the 1225 is scheduled to run with 765 in october this year . I believe that 1225 inspection is scheduled for January , and more than enough money was raised from the Festival to get the work done .
