Well The 2719 is still owned by the LT&PF...the group who restored her...however when plans to bring the locomotive to Montana fell through...the Lake Superior Railroad Museum in Duluth Mn has the locomotive on perminant lease from the LT&PF...we have used her to power trains on our 26 mile line between Duluth and Two Harbors Mn...The 2719 is good until 2011...and will pull trains every fall until then and the next resoration plans are in the works to be done after the 2011 season. I can tell you that seeing the high stepping pacific flying at 35mph pulling a nine car train with matched GP30 and SOO caboose makes all the hard work the LSRM shop forces have put into her...getting the loco to Duluth was another story involving a new piston rod among other things...more info at lsrm.org

Yup, lsrm.org provides excellent info. We will also be running her this summer during the NRHS Convention in Duluth.
