There is a narrow-gage 0-4-0t of that's a dead ringer for an LGB engine just down the road from the Ft Wayne RR Historical Society. The owner gave rides on certain weekends and stopped at the pumpkin patch around Halloween. I heard the owner died and no news about the locomotive and open-air coaches.
The Whitewater Valley RR recently sold #100. It went back South.
I have good memories of the steam in French Lick. It is too bad the casino hasn't brought in enough money to restore 208 to running condition. If I win the lottery, I'll put in a wye track at West Baden, a turntable and runaround track in Cuzco, and a passing track somewhere on the line and get another engine for two train operation. Until then, I have to go to Kentucky or wait for Fort Wayne to see 152 or 765. Any other good steam like that around, please let me know.
There was a blurb in the local paper this week that the narrow gage train was running to the pumpkin patch this month, so someone is still operating it.
An interesting side note is the station you buy tickets in is the original station for the narrow gage Cloverleaf Line from Craigville, IN. All these years later, the station is still serving narrow gage steam.
