<p>Hello everybody,</p><p>the change of the topic is not a problem to my eyes, many interesting sub-topics here. </p><p>As there are many unknown factors of starting and moving a train, does not some rules of thumbs of calculating train resistance exist? It is hard to believe a yardmaster would do calculations for every single car... or did they have 64bit Abaci?</p>Lars
