Shreveport is a busy city with only 2 rail lines thru here KCS & UP KCS runs North to Kansas city Mo East to Merridian Miss via Jackson & Vicksburg Ms ex ICG South to Beaumont Tx Laffyette La Lake charles La Southeast to New Orleans La via Baton rouge La & West To Dallas & Ft Worth Tx ex L&A UP runs North to Pine Bluff Ark ex SP & Texarkana Tx ex MP South to Houston Tx ex SP & Alexandria La ex MP West to Longview Tx ex MP KCS Has 1 yd near Sport Blanchard highway about 5 miles west of town UP has 3 yds Riesor near greenwood about 12 miles west on I20 ,Hollywood Yd about 3 miles west of town & red river yd located 2 blks east of down town near the red river also good spot for tourist and railfans ther are a few casinos near the river good spots all around[:)]
