In Kalamazoo County the CN trains are heaviest in the mornings and late afternoons. The trains often get slowed heading through the Battle Creek Yard, but they are hard to view there now that so many structures have been constructed. CN trains are so frequent through Michigan that any double track to single track bottleneck is worth finding on a map, because that slows the action, for a few minutes. With CN freight trains, they always show up as soon as an interested viewer has left the tracks 3 minutes ago. It seems like a running joke. What are we supposed to do, drag race back to the tracks as fast as possible? There is a pattern to CN trains, but it is over a long time frame. Andrew F.
