As Frank Sinatra sang...CHICAGO IS MY KIND OF TOWN...and I am sure many of us Windy City area residents would like to see a comprehensive guide to railfanning in AND AROUND our area! Jim

What about my hometown of Woodstock Ontario? Heehee

CN Dundas Sub. and the CPR Galt Sub. and CPR St. Thomas Sub.

The Dundas and St. Thomas Cross over with a Diamond.

The Dundas has a fair bit of VIA and CN Action. Can be quite busy at times.

The Galt isn't as busy, but still has a fair bit of traffic. Also, there is a fair sized yard.

If you're interested, I can be your tour guide! :D:D:D

Pittsburgh has CSX, NS, Amtrak, Allegheny Valley, Pittsburgh & Ohio Central, Union RR. That should be the Railroads on the Pittsburgh list.

You should do Harrisburg, Pa. I wish you could do the Allentown, Pa area (which used to have 5 to 10 railroads) but it only has two NS lines and R.J. Corman.

All things considered, a trackside guide for Chicago would be excellent although the sheer size might be a problem. With the existing format, even a lifetime Chicagoan like me would learn a few new things and discover some new spots.
