never lived in chgo. first trip there, on business, 1956. remember using a free afternoon to go out on roosevelt blvd., bridging entries into all those stations. a c g w switcher was working tracks south of its station, and the engr invited me aboard to chat even though i was short on time. i have ridden trains out of all stations but the grd cent. saw a pere marquette e-unit there though [also had c&o markings]. in later years, had a chance to spend an hour around deval tower in des plaines. great!
