I would recommend a LOT more internet searching before your visit.
Lately UP and the local landowners have been very aggressively discouraging trespassers.
About the only legal place to view the Loop is from the historical monument on Woodford-Tehachapi Road ( lat / long 35.195072,-118.534726 ).
