When was the TP&W at its most prosperous - before deregulation?
The Toledo and Peoria and Western never made it to either Toledo or Peoria? or much farther west either

My 1971 Official Guide shows they went thru Peoria. Were they technically on someone else's trackage rights in town?
The TP&W at one time had its own bridge that crossed the Illinois River from East Peoria to Peoria. The railroad had trackage rights over the Peoria Terminal (CRI&P) from Peoria to Hollis, Illinois. After that bridge was destroyed in a flood, the TP&W used the P&PU bridge to cross the Illinois River.
