yep plans are underway for a railpark but like any other railfan or rail excursion operation they need $$$.they are having a railfest on sept 22 this year.hope to see you there.

Yes, the old warehouse/slaughterhouse that stands in between all three diamonds is to be torn down and leveled and made into a railfan park. This is thanks to the "Fostoria Railfan Preservation Society (FRPS)." When I was last to Fostoria on 7/15/07, they have the building cleared out and are ready to begin tearing it down. Once this is complete, it will make views of all three mainlines from one location easier.

Wow! I Will  be out there for sure when that's done. I've always wanted to go there but I'm a little weary of going somewhere so far away without a desingnated place to watch the action because of not being sure I could find somewhere to watch.

I am actually going to be in Rochelle, IL. that week so I won't be able to. Let me know when that railfan park is finished though and I will be there for sure.
