The Bel Air Board of Town Commissioners has been working with Harford County government to close the considerable separation between Bel Air and Forest Hill. They have gained all rights to bridge the gap, with the exception of a chunk of land owned by Senator Robert Hooper. The local politician and businessman refuses to allow the pathway to extend into his property located along the former Maryland and Pennsylvania railroad near Ellendale Street. The senator owns Harford Sanitation and parks his garbage trucks along the span. According to the Aegis, he doesn't want people walking across the property and refuses to give consent as long as he is the owner. They eventually hope to expand the track from Friends Park in Forest Hill to Annie's Playground in Fallston.<

End Qoute

Has anyone more information or additional links about this story?
