Since AW&W 's mothballing earlier this past spring , Indiana Southern Railroad has been borrowing AW&W 's SD9's to pull coal trains out of the Black Beauty Coal mine at Mackey , Indiana , they have been running as a set . These old work horses have been well maintained and look and sound like they were new . It is quite a sight to watch these old machines continue to make a living until AW&W future is decided.
